One of the biggest and most notorious things that these mortgage assistance programs have had in the past and recent months is that they have allowed people to prevail and keep their homes by reducing their mortgage payments though it is true that the period that constitutes and creates the mortgage loan will also expand. So it is understandable that the foreclosure actions that the state of Florida is currently having after a few months of such assistance programs being installed has lowered 6.86% to the numbers that the state had been showing prior to the institution and implementation of such programs.

Such decrease on the foreclosure activities that are being carried out all over the state has also been reflected in the price of the real estate property; these prices are going up since the foreclosures are going down.  While for many this is puzzling, it actually is not considering that foreclosed properties by law have to be sold again at a lower price than the average market price.  Therefore, for real estate owners that are near the foreclosed homes this was a nuisance because their own properties’ values depreciated.

The increase of the value of the properties even to the small current 0.35% is a good and bright news for these homeowners and the promise of a brighter future where their properties will become the type of investment that they were looking for.
