Posted in Foreclosures, June 21st, 2008

va foreclosuresVA Foreclosures happen when one of our military personnel loses a house that the Veterans Administration has a rent or mortgage on. The foreclosure of such housing can be devastating, especially when you have no place else to go. With the military pay system of twice a month and not good pay at all. It takes most everyone in the family to be able to hang on to a house and keep food in their mouths. But slip up and don’t pay your rent, you could very well lose your house to a VA foreclosure and you will wind up out in the cold with no place to go.

This is hard if both people are serving out country in two different places. VA Foreclosures are done all the time regardless of circumstances. Bills pile up and this can lead to a VA foreclosure. This can happen without either that is service in different parts of the world knowing about it. This can have a domino effect on the morale of our soldiers and a bad one at that.

It isn’t always easy to get base housing and to live off base sometimes takes two paychecks. Sometimes even that isn’t enough to get you out of financial trouble. It takes a lot for a military couple to make it even if one is in the military and one is not. VA Foreclosures usuallyare military housing whether on base or off base. This is dependent upon if you are single or not, if you are in training or not, and what your pay per month is. Unfortunately this hasn’t changed in at least 15 years.

The VA forecloses on homes with alarming regularity. This trend for VA Foreclosures is becoming more and more common as our military families and couples struggle every week or two weeks to keep a roof over their head and food in their mouths. This is not easy as military pay hasn’t gone up by much in recent years and more and more service personnel are forced to scramble to keep the roof over their heads. Money is stretched so tight that you can see daylight through it. This is a very bad sign for our service men and women. They need our country’s help to help them make it through.

It is very hard when you have a young child under the age of three and you can’t work, because you have no money for a sitter. VA Foreclosures are becoming the norm lately. This trend sees no dissipation in the near future, and that is a crying shame for those who serve our country to be put in this position. It is not fair to them to lose everything while they serve this country of ours. But being a government agency the VA doesn’t see things that way and more and more are losing their homes due to VA foreclosure. Which to this American is very wrong and should be stopped immediately. No more rug pulling.
