Qualifying ratio
A ratio calculated to determine how much a potential buyer can borrow.
Queen Anne style
A Victorian-era style that originated in England during the reign of Queen Anne and was revived in both England and America in the late 19th century.
Quiet enjoyment
The right of an owner to use his or her property without interference usually without a the nuisance of a noisy neighbor.
Quiet title suit
A lawsuit filed to ascertain the legal rights of an owner to a certain parcel of property.
Quitclaim deed
A term used in property law to describe a document by which a person (the "grantor") disclaims any interest the grantor might have in a piece of real property, and passes that claim to another person (the grantee).
Quoin
The outer corners of a building, or the rectangular stone block used to form that corner or a wedge, used to support or anchor other items.
